Craft Fair Fun

It’s been great to see so many of you this fall. I had a wonderful time at the annual craft fair at Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

Along with my Salves and Massage oils I’ve been busy making up wonderful smelling and powerful sprays and roll-ons for a variety of ailments.  I sold out of my “Relax and Sleep” and “Focus” sprays by early afternoon!

Essential oils are such a powerful and pleasurable way to transform a mood or switch up the energy of a room.  I know my clients have been reporting great results using them throughout their day, spraying their office to wake up, spritzing their pillow before bed and using a roll-on before they get out of the car and start their day. Essential oils are a great way to practice mindfulness. Taking that moment to apply the roll on or spray the spray, then just letting yourself smell it, and feeling your bodies’ reaction to it while taking a few deep breaths is such a welcome break.  I recommend using the oils when you’re transitioning an activity, before going into the house after work, when you get out of the shower; just taking moments throughout the day for pleasure and self care can really make the day more manageable and fun.

This month I held my first “Aromatherapy House Party”  and it was marvelous. Thanks to all who came! I brought my big box of essential oils and we passed them around talking about their benefits. I’ll be doing more parties in the new year so let me know if you
d like to host or attend a future party!
It’s fun to see how differently people react to different smells. One person will love a scent and then the next one will not!  Smell is so individual but when you find a scent you love it really is magical.

That’s why I love working one on one with people because we can take the time to find a combination they love that suites their specific needs perfectly.  My sessions with clients begin with them smelling a variety of oils to find the one that suites their needs and smells magnificent to them. I can see it on their face when they find the right combination, such pleasure!
The session then might continue with a variety of energy practices (EFT/Tapping, emotrance and IET) to help shift issues and create transformation.  We end with a hand and foot massage using their new-found essential oil blend. Massaging in the oils allows them to enter the blood stream and start their work, (helping with inflammation, relaxation, etc)  I finish the session with some hands-on Reiki, which is a powerful hands-on healing method that people find profoundly relaxing and satisfying; they tell me it’s the most relaxed they’ve felt in “weeks, months, years” and that the effect lingers for some time after the session.
