Lady’s Mantle emerges

I love how Lady’s Mantle emerges from the ground, its leaves like a fan unfolding as it comes out from the earth.  This plant is known for its alchemical properties named Alchemilla xanthochlora (the little alchemist).  I always thought it was the dew forming on its leaves in the morning that was used as an ingredient in potions because of its magical powers, but today I read it is the “Guttation water (resembling dew drops) on Lady’s Mantle was always believed to have special powers. In fact, the water is not dew, but sap forming on the leaf tip from the leaf base.” http://www.ricola.com

I’m making up a healing face oil that I actually want to use. I never like the heaviness or a scent on my face, but I am going to try and fashion one using ancient oils like rose, myrrh and frankincense. I think I’ll add in some of Lady’s Mantle magic, too – which was also said to help skin heal and glow.  I’ll keep you posted.
