Say Yes.

“Something infinitely expansive is seeking to breathe through you, lifting your life to its highest possibility. Say yes.” ~ Marianne Williamson

It has been a long winter. A very cold and long winter. I am so ready for spring I can hardly stand it. And even though tomorrow is the first day of spring; it is 21 degrees outside and the wind is strong and cold.

Sigh.

But spring will come and, like this amaryllis on my dining room table, it will bloom gloriously.

Right?

It has to happen. It always does.

There will be spring song birds returning, frogs chirping from the swamps and soft warm breezes.

There will be so much to see, appreciate and notice. So many places to say Yes.

So much of healing starts with noticing. Noticing how we feel in our bodies when we’re going through our day. Being gently (and kindly) aware of how food makes us feel. I find that along with the healing techniques I teach like EFT/ Tapping and Aromatherapy we also have to create a habit of awareness.  Tools only work if we remember to use them.  In this world we live in it can be difficult to notice how we feel. Many things are fast, loud and relentless.  Stopping to breathe or check in with ourselves feels like an impossible luxury.

But spring, glorious spring, is a wonderful time to remember.  Every day, one hundred times a day there are so many things to notice; the sun is rising earlier, the birds are streaming back and the huge snow drifts are shrinking.

So, this new blog will be about my healing practice and the wonderful techniques I share with people, but it will also be about noticing, about stopping to breathe, to rest and to pay attention.  To say yes to those little moments of attention that add up into awareness.  And now is the time to begin. Once a day, twice a day or all day long notice the shifting of spring around us and post a comment of what you saw, smelled, heard, touched or tasted that brought you back to yourself. I’d love to hear it!P1060261
