Time to get your Roll-ons! Lavender, Peppermint and Lime

I’ve been focusing on my different products in the last month and this week wanted to take a look at aromatherapy roll-ons.  They are an easy, compact and transportable way to integrate essential oils into your everyday life. I think that everyone should have a few!
A roll-on is made up of potent essential oils that are diluted in a carrier oil (I use Jojoba oil because it is actually a wax that does not go rancid or stain clothing.) This dilution allows the oils to be safely applied directly to the skin. The two ways essential oils can get into your body (and help you) are by inhaling them or absorbing them into your skin. Roll-Ons let you do both!  Roll-ons are so portable that you can keep one in your pocket at work or one in the cup-holder in your car. You can also leave one by your bed at night to help you relax into sleep.  Just roll the roller ball over the skin of a pulse point like your inner wrists or your temples and breathe deeply.  You can also roll it under your nose or anywhere else that you find helpful. (Some blends are great as pain relievers so roll the roll-on right over the painful area. (Make sure the skin is unbroken.)) Some people roll-on to their palms and then hold their hands over their face and breathe in for a few moments.
Lovely.
The roll-ons that I have made up for the holidays are:
True Bulgarian Lavender (Lavender angustifolia)-  Studies have shown Lavender to be helpful in relaxing people, reducing pain and relieving migraines and other headaches. A deep breath with some Lavender is the car before you head into a stressful appointment can be very very helpful. People keep their Lavender close to help with relaxing throughout the day and for helping them slow down their mind before sleep.
Peppermint (Mentha piperita) Research shows that Peppermint is a great pain reliever, dispels nausea and car-sickness and helps keep you awake. It is very bright and uplifting and also reduces appetite by 20% when smelled before a meal! It can be amazing for headache relief. At the craft fair last week a woman bought a Peppermint roll-on, then immediately rolled it on her temples and above her eyes because she had a bad headache. 5 minutes later she came back, looking stunned. Her headache was gone and she bought several more roll-ons!
Lime (Citrus aurantifolia)
Lime, like the other citrus oils, has been shown to lift a mood and cheer people up. It is used for anxiety and helps with mild depression. It smells delicious and is an easy way to shift a mood, lift fatigue and get you energized.
These roll-ons are each $10 and make a great little holiday gift. Just reply to this email, or call or text me (413)325-4529 and I can get them to you!
I also make individualized custom roll-ons with a wide variety of oils in my private appointments, so that is another option, too. It is really interesting and fun to see what scents people love and how they combine them. Everyone is so different! People create beautiful blends that are very customized to them, their needs and their nose!
(Gift Certificates are a great gift and I am having a 20% off sale for the holidays. Let me know if you’d like to get one for yourself or a loved one!)

Best to you,
Katherine
