Hope your new year is going well.
Winter in the Northeast is intense, but already the light is coming back. As I write this it is still light out with a blue sky behind the clouds at 4:40.
That’s exciting.
This time of year I find such happiness from growing green things inside like this Amaryllis that is going to be blooming soon. I thought the bulb was dead after I first planted it. Nothing. For so long. Nothing. And then, finally, a tiny little green tongue poked out. I kept waiting and watering and now these huge shoots are emerging.
Now I am just enjoying the anticipation, wondering what color the flower will be.
I hope you are looking forward to good things and having patience with how long it can sometimes take for things to emerge.
