Post-its and other tricks

Last week I taught a “Tools for Stress Relief” class at the hospital where I work as a nurse.

We had a great time and everyone went home with a custom-made aromatherapy spray or roll-on.  They can use the spray or roll-on when things get tough and they need some relief from the stress around them.

I also recommended that people use post-its to remind them to tap. EFT/Tapping is such an amazing tool, but it only works if you use it!  With so much going on in our lives it can be easy to forget to do the simple things that can really shift a mood or make a stressful situation more manageable.

So here is my post-it to you!

Remember to tap and use your aromatherapy however you can; whatever positive triggers might work for you; try them out. I find that I do both tapping and aromatherapy when I get into the car.  I’ve done it enough; it’s now a habit.  I automatically spray an uplifting spray (Frankincense, Clary Sage and Ylang Ylang) as I get settled in the car.  And I often use the time between home and work or before heading into errands to do a bit of tapping.

The shower is another place that both these tools can be used. I spray a bit of my wake-up (Rosemary, Cypress and Lemon! Very invigorating!) spray in the shower and do some tapping on whatever I’m working on that day.

You can place post-it notes in the car, in the bathroom, near your desk; wherever you need a reminder to take a moment to take care of yourself.

Someone in the class asked if I ever run out of things to tap about, which made me laugh!  Not yet! Being a human being gives me plenty of things to tap on!  It really does ease up the tension and help me and my clients come up with creative ways to solve problems when we tap regularly.  I hope the same for you.
